![]() ![]() What is the Difference Between Betadine and Povidone Iodine?īoth betadine and povidone iodine refer to the same chemical compound, but betadine is a brand name from which we can find this chemical compound in the market, while povidone iodine is the active ingredient. In addition, we can dissolve it in ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, glycerol, etc. This substance is soluble in mildly warm and sold water. The name povidone iodine comes from its combination of povidone with triiodide. ![]() In pleurodesis, povidone iodine is equally effective and safe as talc. Moreover, we can use a buffered solution of povidone iodine to prevent neonatal conjunctivitis in the eyes. This is because of the slow absorption of povidone iodine via soft tissues. This solution provides a long-lasting antiseptic effect compared to the tincture of iodine solution. It is the first aid for minor cuts, grazes, burns, abrasions, etc. Povidone iodine is a topical treatment that can prevent wound infections. When povidone iodine is sold under the brand name betadine, it contains a complex of povidone, hydrogen iodide, and elemental iodine. When we are using it on large wounds, it can cause kidney problems, high blood sodium, and metabolic acidosis. There can be some side effects of using povidone iodine, which include irritation and swelling of the skin. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s an awesome incredible game that u can do all sorts of things on but.there r some issues. The World of Minor What is a Minor Key?įirst off, let’s understand minor keys by applying some basic music theory.Ī musical key is, by definition, a certain collection of notes that a piece of music is composed in. #Music keys meaning how to#Read on to learn the theory behind minor keys, how to build minor scales, chords, and intervals, and how to listen for them in the songs you know and love. In this comprehensive guide to minor keys, we’ll cover all of this and more. minor keys? How do you play in a selected minor key? That applies simple rules to keys so you can easily review all your tunes and see which ones will mix well into the current one.Several questions arise: why do minor keys usually sound sad? What is the difference between major vs. Once you get your head around keys, the easiest way to mix with them is to use Camelot notation, which is what Mixed in Key uses. ![]() #Music keys meaning software#That’s why DJ software has “key lock” functionality – it holds the key the same while the BPM can be altered (and on some you can also alter the key without changing the speed). Key mixing is made easier for DJs with the Camelot wheel. If a piece of music is in the key of C, and you alter your pitch (by 6%, as it happens) by speeding it up, it moves a whole key up the piano keyboard and is now in the next key up the scale (C#). The reason BPM is related to it is that if you speed up a track you make the starting note higher – or to put it another way, you change its key. So from any starting note, there are two keys – if our starting note was C, the two possible keys are “C major” (or just “C”) and “C minor”. Strangely maybe for a happy medium, most dance music uses minor scales. That’s why we say a key is “minor”. The first sounds jolly and twee, the second more menacing and even a bit “sad”. There are actually 7 instances of the note “C” on a piano keyboard, ranging from a really deep one to a very high one. By the way, there are also two “scales” from any given starting note – called major and minor. When someone says a tune is “in the key of C”, what they mean is that its main or starting note is C, and the scale it uses is the notes that you’d play a tune on if that’s where you started. This “scale” represents the notes your version of the airport tune or indeed a whole song in that particular key would use. After that, it just repeats – but much higher. By playing the melody from a different starting note, what you’re actually doing is playing it in a different “key”. These are the 12 possible starting notes for a “scale” or set of notes related to the starting note. One instance of that pattern is called an octave, and actually consists of 12 possible notes. You’ll notice that a piano has a pattern that repeats all the way up its keyboard (3 black keys, 2 black keys, 3 black keys etc). ![]() But a piano has 88 possible notes, and there are not 88 different keys. What you’re actually doing is playing it in a different “key”. You could play the same tune a bit higher or lower by playing the melody from a different starting note. You pick your starting note and then play the next two or three notes depending on where you started. Now, you can play that melody from memory starting from anywhere on the piano keyboard. Thinking of the way a piano keyboard is laid out can help you to understand musical keys. Think of the simplest melody, like the four notes they play in an airport over the PA before they say something, or in an elevator when it arrives at a floor. The best way to understand what “key” means is to imagine a piano. Towards the end, she goes “up” a key for the chorus. If you want to hear an obvious example of a key change, listen (if you can stand it) to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. The key of a piece of music usually doesn’t change: apart from cheesy pop records, generally a piece of music remains in the same key throughout. Most pieces of music are in just one musical key Also, luckily there are tools around today in modern DJing that can help you to use keys and key changes to play great-sounding DJ sets. Keys can be really confusing at first, but once you understand the concept, it isn’t that difficult. Reader Robert Moff writes: “How many beats until the key changes? And please can you do a bpm / key chart to help me understand key change, because I’m not sure.” Digital DJ Tips says: Once you understand musical keys, you can use keylocks to make great harmonic mixes. ![]() ![]() Openssl req -x509 -new -nodes -key ca.key -sha256 -days 1024 -out ca.pem -subj " $CA_SUBJECT" # create a. We'll also create a self-signed certificate authority with which to sign the certificates. To support arbitrary servers and minimize the number of changes we'll need to make if we add a new subdomain, we'll use wildcard certificates for *. and *. In our case, we have a number of different domains we'd like to handle, including those on two separate second-level domains: and. Since we don't want to use real certificates, we'll need to generate our own. Were any developer's computer compromised, the attacker could use the certificates to intercept legitimate traffic to the real servers, and cause real damage to both users and the company. Generating the CertificatesĪny https connection requires a set of certificates, which serve to prove the identity of the organization or entity on the other end of the connection, and to encrypt the data between the two parties.Īctual certificates should not be used during this process - they are not necessary, and distributing them opens them up to unnecessary risk. The straightforward solution entails enabling our local proxy server to serve content over https so that the content security policy allows our app to function. We'll also discuss the changes we made to support our existing livereload mechanism. We'd like to share our findings while reducing friction in our development workflow, specifically regarding changes to our proxy server. This introduces developer friction, and makes results from testing locally inconsistent with results post-deploy, so we'd like to mitigate this problem. When a web page exhibits this behavior, it is called a mixed content page.Īs a result, we've had to run Chrome in an insecure mode when testing our changes. If the HTTPS page includes content retrieved through regular, cleartext HTTP, then the connection is only partially encrypted the unencrypted content is accessible to sniffers and can be modified by man-in-the-middle attackers, so the connection is not safeguarded. When a user visits a page served over HTTPS, their connection with the web server is encrypted with TLS and is therefore safeguarded from sniffers and man-in-the-middle attacks. Gmail's content security policy makes it so that if you inject content that uses insecure resources, the requests for those resources are rejected. Read more about content security policy on HTML5 ROCKS. When those resource requests are rejected, our app fails to load, which makes it impossible to test during development. A strict content security policy like Gmail's is intended to keep the user safe, in particular disallowing insecure requests on a secure page. ProblemĪ content security policy determines how the browser handles requests to origins different from the page's origin. Up until this point, unlike our production environment, our proxy only handled http connections. This parity means we don't need to hard-code a microservice's port to make a request to it. To maintain consistency and functional parity with our production environment, we put a proxy server in front of our microservices, which handles requests to specific domains, such as, and forwards them to the appropriate server. ![]() For development, however, we need to host our microservices locally. Every service sits on its own fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) -, , and, respective to the aforementioned services. We have a microservice for serving contact autocomplete, rendering out the compose modal, displaying the dashboard, and more. Our platform is hosted across a set of microservices, each having a unique role. This creates issues during our normal development workflow, where we configure the app to refer to local resources. As such, we need to load all our resources over https - both for the security of our users, and to comply with Gmail's strict security policies.
